Taking time to get your affairs in order and to make a plan for moving forward, before you claim your winnings, is definitely a good step.

Winner of EuroMillions €29m jackpot contacts lottery HQ
The winner of the €29 million EuroMillions jackpot made contact with the National Lottery on Monday.
The contact comes after a weekend of speculation on who had the winning numbers – 11, 20, 35, 37, 45 and bonus numbers 3 and 6 – in the draw last Friday.
This is the 11th win of the EuroMillions jackpot in Ireland since it started in 2004.
A National Lottery spokeswoman confirmed contact had been made by the winner but no further details would be given at this stage.
Although the organisation said earlier the location of the shop which sold the ticket would be revealed on Monday afternoon, the spokeswoman said that information would be delayed.
“We want to give the winner time and space to make arrangements and to let the news sink in. The name of the winning shop will be made known in the next day or so,” she said.
“This is an incredible amount of money to win and we are delighted to have another winner of EuroMillions in Ireland.”
Ready to collect on Wednesday
The National Lottery said the lump sum should be ready to collect by this Wednesday.
“Literally the money will come from all the other members of the EuroMillions community, so that will take a couple of days to come through,” the spokeswoman said earlier on Monday.
“It would probably be mid-week before it all comes through, you’re looking at Wednesday, although it might come sooner.”
The most recent Irish EuroMillions jackpot winner was a Dublin work syndicate who shared €88.5 million last January.
Dolores McNamara from Co Limerick was Ireland’s first and biggest EuroMillions winner, scooping over €115 million in July 2005.
